Boğazkent is located in the Serik district, east of Antalya, 50 km from Antalya and 8 km from Serik. The neighborhood is surrounded by Serik to the north, Köprü Stream to the east, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and Belek to the west. The town covers an area of 2,170 hectares. The Belek-Boğazkent coast is one of seventeen areas where loggerhead sea turtles prefer to lay their eggs. The Sea Turtle Monitoring and Protection Project, supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s Special Environmental Protection Agency, is being conducted on two separate beaches: Patara and Boğazkent.
